Elaine Boudreaux Mire

Elaine Boudreaux Mire, age 73 years, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

A native of Marrero, Elaine was the beloved wife of 54 years to Olen “O.J.” Mire, Jr.; the proud mother to Chris “Slim” Mire; the dear aunt to many nieces and nephews; and adored by sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by parents Bessie and Milton Louis Boudreaux, Sr.; and siblings Louis Boudreaux, Milton Boudreaux, Jr., Lorraine Barton, Glenn Boudreaux, and Brenda Cavalier.

Elaine retired from Jefferson Parish’s Department of Parks and Recreation, though spent many wonderful years working for Hibernia Bank and Capitol Jewelers. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family and dogs, Missy and Mary, at their hunting camp. Elaine had a gentle, giving heart and a quiet way of making life sweeter – literally. She had a special love for making desserts.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Mothe Funeral Home in Harvey, Louisiana from 10:30AM to 1:30AM, at which time Mass will begin. Interment will follow thereafter at Westlawn Memorial Park.
