Edward Lee Tripp, Sr. passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017. Beloved husband of Catherine McCloskey Tripp for 59 years. Father of Edward Tripp, Jr. (Dawn), David Tripp (Sheila), and the late Elaine T. Bailey. Grandfather of Edward Tripp, III, Brittany Morange (George), Rachel DePreist (Scott), P.J. Murphy, and Andrew Murphy. Great-grandfather of 18. Son of the late James Marion Trippe and Lorraine Levert Trippe. Brother of Charles Bauman, William Wilcox, Alvin Wilcox, John Cook, and the late James Tripp, Anna Mae Barlow, Henrietta Wall, and William Bauman. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Age 78 years, a native of Gretna, LA and resident of Carriere, MS for the past 30 years. He retired from Oakwood Shopping Center and enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, camping, and woodworking. He will be deeply missed by all. Burial will be private.
