Edward L. Buras, III peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Penny Bourgeois Buras. Father of Kiley Buras LeCompte (Michael) and Kimberly Buras Clement (Joshua). Son of Betty Bergeron Gautreaux. Brother of Naomi “Yonnie” Autin, Duane Buras, Shawn Buras, Robin Whalen, Paul Buras and Natalie Buras. Grandfather of Emily LeCompte, Aidan LeCompte, Sarah LeCompte, Norah LeCompte, Kirsten LeCompte, Noah Clement and Jacob Clement. Edward is preceded in death by his father, Edward L. Buras, Jr.; his sister, Torey Buras and his brother, Leon Buras. Edward was a lifelong resident of the Westbank. He worked as a truck driver for Insulation Inc. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, May 29, 2017 from 9AM until 1PM. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1PM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery Number 2, Westwego, LA.
