Earl Joseph “E.J.” Gros, Jr. peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 21, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was 71 years of age. Beloved husband of Dorothy Naquin Gros for 48 wonderful years, father of Krystle Gros Winkler, and grandfather of Madeline Winkler. Brother of Connie Gros Savois and Lisa Muller Thibaut (David). Brother-in-law of Thomas Naquin (late Pixie), S. Marie Naquin, Linda Naquin, Dennis Naquin, Jr., Steven Naquin (Gail), Kim Ranson, Susan Brindisi (Frank). Godfather of Natasha Naquin, Daniel G. Savois, Jason Naquin, and Abby Tyhurst Porter. He was also loved by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Son of the late Earl Joseph Gros, Sr. & Nell Gonzales Gros Muller.
E.J. was a lifelong resident of the Westbank. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed many, many years at his camp in Grand Isle, La. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his greatest treasure in life, his grandbaby Madeline. E.J. was the most loving, caring, funny, and hard-working person. He was married to the love of his life, and their marriage was filled with many adventures and blessings. E.J. will truly be missed.
