It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dzung The Pham at the age of 65. He was born to Duc and My Pham in Tra Vinh, Vietnam and passed on January 14, 2022 in New Orleans, LA.
Dzung was a hard-working man who started with the local supermarket Schwegmann and continuing there until it was taken over by Rouse’s Enterprises. While working at Schwegmann, he met his life partner, Thanh Tran. Together, Dzung lived a life filled with good food and family time, which he cherished most. He loved to eat and his favorite dishes were those of his wife. Dzung spent his free time gardening, washing his car, watching Asian drama and listening to music of all genres from Vietnamese classics to Adele to Phil Collins. He also enjoyed traveling and made sure to take many pictures of every moment.
Dzung was a kind thoughtful man of very few words and unconditional love for his family. As a faithful member of the WhoDat Nation, Dzung always recorded Saints’ Sunday afternoon games to later watch with his wife when she got home from work while the two of them cheered on their favorite player, Drew Brees. He will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to be part of his life.
Dzung is survived by his wife Thanh, children Vy, Nghiem, Susan, Terry, PhuongAnh and grandchildren Vinh and Khiem. He is predeceased by both his parents.
