Douglas E. Wilson

Douglas E. Wilson peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 29, 2023 at the age of 73.  Beloved husband of 50 years to Norma White Wilson.  Son of the late Ian and Ramona Wilson.  Devoted and loving father of Dana Joseph Wilson and Emily Jean Wilson Stricker (Jeff).  Loving Grandfather of Elise Stricker, Lillian Stricker and Christopher Stricker.  Douglas is survived by his brother, Michael Wilson as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was born in Sydney, Australia and was a resident of Gretna, Louisiana.  He was the Owner and Operator of Wilson Audio for 45 years.  He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War while enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve.  He loved football and was an avid fan of the Saints, Chicago Cubs and Tulane.  Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 9AM until 11AM.  A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11AM.  Interment will be in McDonoghville Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.  Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com
