Douglas Franklin Chappell Sr.

Douglas F. Chappell, Sr., age 83, passed away on November 22, 2022. Loving husband of 38 years to the late Lois R. Chappell and father of Connie Chappell Fontanez, Douglas Chappell Jr., and the late Odette Chappell Orso. Grandfather of Kerra Dearman, Felicia Chappell, and Shawn Orso. Great-grandfather of Logan Dearman and Mathius Levier. Douglas was born on August 17, 1939 to the late Buford Louis Chappell and the late Beatrice Rawson Chappell. Brother of Jacky Wayne Chappell, Jean Carol Hayes, Patricia Ann Billiot, and Curtis Groven Chappel. Douglas is predeceased by Lorene Burgess, Bartley Thomas, Charles Lamar Chappell, Jesse Ray Chappell, Norma Lee Lloyd, Mildred Rigdon, and Buford Louis Chappell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., in Marrero, LA on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 1:30PM. Visitation will begin at 10AM.
