Doris Morvant Stein

Doris Morvant Stein entered into eternal rest on April 28, 2023. Beloved wife of the late James Stein. Mother of Jennifer Maysonet, Janice Compton (Chris), and Scott Stein (Yvette). Grandmother of Nichole Cranston (Don), Brandon Barrilleaux, Jacob Compton, Patrick Stein (Andrea), Taylor Stein, and He’nri Stein. Great-grandmother of Chasse (Jamie), Grace, Addie, and Charlotte. Daughter of the late Sylvain Morvant and Bernadette Gros Morvant. Sister of the late Hilbert Morvant, Louis Morvant, Ethel Bartholomew, Mildred Morvant, Paul Morvant, Russell Morvant, Reuben Morvant, Thelma Boudreaux, Gladys Brown, and Gloria Melancon. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Age 88 years, a native of Gretna, and lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Doris was a devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a very caring and kind person, and took care of her extended family like they were her own. She will be deeply missed by all. 
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 10 AM until 1 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Gretna, LA at 1:30 PM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
