Doris Dugas Southerland entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late John J. Southerland. Daughter of the late Lawrence J. Dugas, Sr. and Lena LeBlanc Dugas. Loving and devoted mother of Billy J. Southerland and wife Melanie and the late Kenneth A. Southerland. Grandmother of Lori Southerland. Sister of the late Lawrence J. Dugas, Jr. Doris was born in Gretna, resided in Harvey and most recently in Marrero. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 8:30AM until 11AM. Prayers and blessing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11AM followed by interment in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
