Donald “Duck” Anthony Aucoin

Donald Anthony Aucoin passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2025, at West Jefferson Hospital at the age of 71 years young. Donald lived a full life marked by his love for his wife of 53 years, as well as all his family.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Cynthia Berthelot Aucoin and his daughter Mindy Ann Aucoin. Donald was a proud grandfather to Jaiden Anthony Aucoin, Jevin Anthony Aucoin and Jaice Anthony Aucoin. He also leaves behind his siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Throughout his life, Donald enjoyed fishing with his Grandsons, riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, a passion for NASCAR as well as cherished moments with his wife Cindy, his daughter Mindy and grandsons Jaiden, Jevin and Jaice.

Donald will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him for his playful personality. Donald is preceded in death by his father Albert J. Aucoin, Sr., his mother Martha Breaux Aucoin, Mr. and Mrs. Louis LeBlanc, his nephew Brandon Berthelot, as well as sisters and brothers.

Donald had a long career with Houma Industries, Versabar, Inc., and eventually retired from Grand Isle Shipyard (GIS).

Family and friends are invited to attend his services at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA. Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 30th, at 10:30am followed by a memorial service at 1:30pm.
