Dolphy “Dee” Dawson Alexie, Sr passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the age of 41. Beloved father of Savannah Alexie, Collin Alexie, Lexy Alexie, Destiny Enclade, Dream Alexie, and the late Dolphy Alexie, Jr. Son of Gwendolyn Rivero and Corky Alexie Sr. Step-son of Herbert Rivero, Jr. Brother of Shantel Duncan and the late Corkey Alexie, Jr. Grandson of the late Evida Alexie and Martin Alexie, Jr. and Eva and Frank Cannon, Sr. Also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Former husband of Tara Bettencourt. He was a commercial fisherman for all his life and was a loving and caring person. He was a lifelong resident of Lafitte, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 11am. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, April 20, 2022 from 6pm until 10pm and on Thursday morning from 9am until 11am. Interment, St. Pius X Mausoleum, Crown Point, LA.
