Dolores Waguespack LeNormand Costa

Dolores “Dee Dee” Waguespack LeNormand Costa left this earth peacefully to meet her Savior on September 12, 2025. Born in 1930, the only child to the late Sylvester and Henrietta Waguespack in New Orleans, LA, Dee lived a long and full life on the Westbank.

Dee was a loving mother to her two children, Karen Noto Theriot (Robert) and the late Salvadore Noto Jr. (Hope), with her first husband, Salvadore Noto, Sr. In 1969, she married Harold LeNormand, with whom she spent 16 happy years before his passing. She found love again with Angelo Costa, her devoted companion and husband of over 20 years, who also preceded her in death in 2013.

She is the beloved “Dee Dee” to her three Grandchildren, Christy Theriot Buquoi (Terry), Robert Theriot (Connie) and Amy Noto; and four Great-Grandsons, Trent Buquoi (Jenna), Tate Buquoi, Robert and Isaac Theriot. 

Dee retired as a Telephone Receptionist from Expressway Medical Center and went on to a second career and retired from Morrison Insurance Agency. Her friendly voice was a “smile” over the phone lines to all the customers calling into those businesses. 

Dee loved the Lord, shopping for the perfect purse and shoes to match her outfits and her LSU Tigers. We know she is dancing those Streets of Gold with our Heavenly Father and we will see her again.

Special love and appreciation to Jane and the staff of Tranquil Living. Your care and love for Dee Dee during the time she lived there was much appreciated by her family. We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Compassus Hospice and staff members, Nurse Gayle, CNA Angel and Chaplain Love. Dee Dee enjoyed the attention you lavished on her during your visits.

Services will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA 70072 on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 8:30 -10AM. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
