Diane Guillot Windhorst, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on May 2, 202, in Marrero, LA. She was a vibrant soul with a zest for life that was truly infectious. Diane was born on January 23, 1943.
Known for her fiery spirit and love for all things flavorful, Diane's joy knew no bounds when she indulged in her favorite dishes such as gumbo, red beans, and pasta. Her passion for cruising brought her immense happiness and unforgettable adventures throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Roland and Ethel Guillot, and her devoted husband, Fritz Windhorst. Diane leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever be held close by her surviving family members: son Rory Windhorst (Jean Windhorst); grandchildren Ryan Windhorst and wife Darlene, James Lavergne, Jordan Pittman, Janean Reker and husband Dalton; as well as her great-grandchildren Kayla and Abigail Windhorst, James Jr., Preston and Matthew Lavergne and wife Abigail, and Great Grandchildren, Preston Lavergne, Matthew Lavergne, Jr., and Brantley, Gracen, and Kaden Reker.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation service at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway in Harvey, LA on May 7, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Following this will be a graveside service at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue in Terrytown starting at 11:00 AM.
Diane Guillot Windhorst will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her exuberance for life and the love she shared with all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing she brought joy to so many hearts.
