Diana Sumner Norman

Diana Sumner Norman (Henry) entered into eternal rest on April 23, 2026. 

Diana was a long-time resident of Marrero, a graduate of Southern University and Xavier University, and a dedicated Jefferson Parish public school teacher for more than 30 years. She was also a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, where she faithfully served the church community in various roles.

Diana had seven brothers and sisters:  Van, Walter, Irene, Ernestine, Yvonne, Miriam, and Charles. She is survived by her brother, Charles; her daughter, Carla; her grandson, Seth; and by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

She will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11 AM. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until service time; visitation and the service are closed casket, as each should remember Diana in his or her own way. 

 Interment will take place at Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
