Dessie "Cricket" Mae England passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016 at the age of 69. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. England. Beloved mother of Danny England (Ronda), Patricia England White (Lloyd), and the late Larry England (Rebecca). Daughter of the late Minnie and Henry Woodrow Vandiver. Sister of Susie Palumbo, Ernestine Marse, and the late David Woodrow Vandiver and Ronnie Glenn Aday. Sister-in-law of Frank Palumbo, Nora Vandiver, and Doddie Aday. Grandmother of Ashley Adolph, Jennifer England, Danny England, Jr., Courtney England, Shawn Ivy England, Kristin England. Kayla Chirlow and Kevin Chirlow. Great grandmother of Emileigh, Aleah, and Jordan. Devoted companion of Anthony Lubrano. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and many close friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She would go out of her way for anyone. She was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA and a resident of St. Bernard, LA for the past 11 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11am. Interment, St. Patrick #1 cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 6pm until 10pm and again on Friday morning from 9am until 11am.
