Dennis William Seibert (July 28, 1944 - January 8, 2024)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dennis William Seibert.  Dennis was born on July 28, 1944 and went to his Heavenly home on January 8, 2024.  Dennis lived a life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful connections.
Dennis was a proud United States Marine, serving his country with honor and dedication. He was also a proud Texas Longhorn and a retiree of Chevron after many years of service at the Belle Chase refinery.
An avid and accomplished golfer, Dennis boasted numerous club championships to his name. His passion for the sport was infectious, and he found great joy in sharing his expertise. Dennis loved to teach others how to play golf and improve their swing, passing on his knowledge with patience and enthusiasm.
Dennis played many golf courses in his lifetime but found a home at Lakewood Golf Club.  He was a cherished member of a special golfing group that played daily.  The camaraderie and shared moments on the course brought him immense joy, and the friendships formed in this group held a special place in his heart.
Dennis's true legacy lies not just in his professional and athletic achievements but in the love and compassion he showered upon his family and friends. His grandchildren, Lason and Evelyn, held such a special place in his heart. He had a heart that knew no bounds, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, including strangers. His kindness and generosity left an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to cross his path.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Shirley Biggs, devoted daughter Elizabeth Ann Seibert, grandchildren Lason and Evelyn Cope, step-daughter Lauren Farrell, 3 sisters - Vickie O’Neil, Evelyn Taylor, and Kim Baker, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Evelyn, and sister, Sharon.
He also had a very close connection with his friends, the Ingram family.  Randall, Lisa, Philip, Lindsey, Makenzie, and Jonah will forever be grateful for the love and friendship they shared with Dennis.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service honoring his life on Saturday, January 19th at Mothe Funeral Home, located at 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA 70058. Visitation will begin at 11 am, with services starting in the chapel at 1 pm. A reception in Dennis’ honor will be held at 2pm at Lakewood Golf Club, 4801 Gen. DeGaulle Drive in Algiers.
May Dennis rest in peace, his memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his golfing buddies carry on his tradition of throwing golf clubs in disgust of the game they love.
