Delenna Boudreaux Daigle, “Del” passed away on November 20, 2016 at the age of 96 in Houma, LA. Beloved wife of the late Kelly J. Daigle, Sr. Mother of Dr. Michael D. Daigle and the late Kelly J. (Sonny) Daigle, Jr. Mother-in-law of Betty Daigle and Mary W. Daigle. Grandmother of Fr. Karl J. Daigle, Michael D. Daigle and the late Kevin J. Daigle. Great-grandmother of Courtney and Stephanie Daigle. Daughter of the late Nora Tourere Boudreaux and Ulysse Boudreaux. Sister of the late Mabel Bianchini, Eva Bianchini and Huby Boudreaux, Sr. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Del was a graduate of LSUNO and Loyola Universities. She retired as an elementary school teacher for the Jefferson Parish School System. She was a resident of Belle Chasse, LA for the last 58 years, a member of the Red Hats, AARP and Riverbend Senior Center. A devout Catholic who loves Christ, an avid traveler and reader.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 8968 Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 11:00 am. Visitation at the church from 10:00 am until funeral time. Interment in Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Our Lady of Perpetual Help School would be preferred.
