In Loving Memory of Debra Arbourgh
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Debra Arbourgh, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on October 9, 2025, just shy of her 73rd birthday. Born on October 16, 1952, to Jean and the late Elden Adams, Debra brought warmth, laughter, and love into every life she touched. For over 54 years, she was a devoted and loving wife to Hilliard Robert "Bob" Arbourgh, whom she married on June 22, 1971. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in love, family, and adventure. Together they raised three sons: Christopher (Michelle), Chad (Kristee), and Corey (Stacie) — a legacy that continues through her adoring grandchildren: Nicholas (Haley), Bryce, Megan, Hayden, Melody, Chase, Evan, Sydnie, and Cade, and her great-grandchildren: Hayes and Arabella. Debra was a beloved sister to Kerry (Debbie) Adams and Keith (Yetta) Adams, and she now reunites in peace with her sister Bambi Humble. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will miss her dearly. For over 30 years, Debra dedicated her life to teaching at her beloved dancing school, shaping the lives of countless students with her grace, passion, and commitment. Her impact as a teacher went far beyond the dance floor, leaving lasting impressions on all who had the privilege of learning from her. Above all, family was at the center of Debra’s life. She found her greatest joy in time spent with her grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil at every opportunity. She was never happier than when surrounded by those she loved—camping under the stars, cruising the open seas, or enjoying the magic of a family trip to Disney. She found joy in the little things and made even the simplest moments feel special. Her grandchildren will forever carry the memory of her hugs, her laughter, and her unconditional love. Debra’s life was a shining example of kindness, generosity, and devotion. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that her love lives on in each of us. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 11am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Hwy 23, Belle Chasse , LA, Visitation will be held at the church from 9am until 11am, and all who knew and loved Debra are welcome to attend.
