Deborah "Debbie" Gros Domangue, 73, was called home to her eternal resting place on January 1, 2026. She passed away surrounded by the love of her family and caregivers.
Deborah was born on March 5, 1952, in New Orleans, LA. She resided in Marrero, LA.
She was the loved daughter of the late Lindberg L Gros and the late Odette Guillot Gros. She is survived by her fiancé, Steven Parker, and her former husband, Eldon Domangue. The loving mother to Kelli Olave (Stephen) and Jason Domangue (Andrea). Adoring grandmother to Gabriel & Sophia Olave, Lauren Vales (Jonathan), Bliss, Tyler, and Chase Domangue and great-grandmother to Jackson & Eden Vales. The loving sister of Susan and Keven Gros (Corinthia Billiot). The caring aunt to Chad, Derick & Travis Gros, and great aunt to Kailey, Jocelyn, Liyah, Devyn, Kimber, and Dax. She is also survived by a large extended family and loyal friends, whom she loved.
Deborah worked as a Professorial Assistant at the Vic A. Pitre Elementary School in Jefferson Parish for 30 years before retiring. She was active in the Westwego Civic Association and enjoyed living life. What she loved most of all was spending time with family and dear friends from Vic A. Pitre school.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Mothe Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, LA.
