Obituary

David Guillotte passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at the age of 63. David was the beloved husband of Ruby Guillotte; the father of Jennifer Guillotte and Raymond Guillotte; the brother of Robin Palmer; the uncle of Mallory Haydel, and Morgan Barback (David); the great-uncle of Leslie and Beau Barback; and the son of the late Jacquelyn Hubert and Charles Guillotte.

A native of Gretna, Louisiana, and proud resident of Terrytown, David graduated from Archbishop Shaw High School, in 1980. After high school, David began his professional career at Avondale Shipyard. David was successful and well respected as a leader in the New Orleans area.

David was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. He enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was an avid hunter, and also loved fishing. However, his true passion was spending time with his loving family and friends. David was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

His spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memories of his cherished friends and family until they meet him again.

The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the outstanding care provided by Passages Hospice.
