Daniel Frank Buras Jr.

Daniel Frank Buras Jr. was born in Port Sulphur, LA on August 21, 1949 and entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the age of 75. Mr. Buras lived in Buras, LA.

He was the son of the late Daniel Frank Buras Sr. and the late Clara May Gauthier Buras. Brother of Charlotte Holloway Davis, the late David, and the late Darren Buras. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Daniel worked for Plaquemines Parish as a security guard where he oversaw safety and helped maintain the levee, Fort Jackson and the Family Center. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but loved talking to people and going out to eat.

Funeral Service will be on Thursday, May 28, 2026. Visitation will be from 9:30 am – 11 am with a Funeral Mass at 11 am. Interment will immediately follow at the Boothville-Venice Cemetery, Venice, LA.
