Cruz Maria "Yiya" Roman-Melendez went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Faustino Garcia. Mother of Evelyn G. Carpio. Grandmother of Anthony F. Sandoval and Christian J. Sandoval. Great grandmother of Christian J. Sandoval, Jr. Julian D. Sandoval, and Taven A. Sandoval. Sister of Jose Antonio Roman-Melendez and the late Maria Antonia Roman-Melendez. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. She is dancing with the Lord in heaven. She was a native of Puerto Rico and a resident of Harvey, LA for over ten years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1pm.
