Consuelo Day Stewart entered eternal rest on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Brooks Poindexter Stewart, Jr. Daughter of the late Clarence Wilson Day and Rosa Dalia Amaya Day. Loving and devoted mother of Tony Stesart (Laurie), Troy Stewart (Catherine Gensler) and Toby Stewart. Loving Grandmother of Jana Hubbell (Jaret), Tony Stewart (Wesley), Casey Sweet (Clay), Mallory Stewart (Larry Schaff), Toby Stewart, Jr. (Madisyn), Timmie Stewart and Cole Stewart. Consuelo is also survived by many great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. She is the loving sister of Rosa Borne, Olive “Tootie” Duett, Sofia Calcagno, Luisa “Weedy) Battalio, Clara Harrison, Charles Day, Fr. James “Rick” Day and the late Arthur Day and Frank Day. Consuelo was born in La Lima, Honduras and was residing in Harvey, Louisiana. She was self employed as a hairdresser for over 50 years and was owner and operator of Consuelo’s Beauty Salon. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Saturday, August 22, 2026, beginning at 9:30AM until 1:30PM. A Memorial Mass will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 1:30PM. A private for family only interment will take place immediately following the Mass.
