Constance Rose Brown Fusilier passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born in NO., La, on August 16, 1941.
She is the beloved wife of Norman Fusilier, with whom she shared 63 years of devoted marriage; the mother of Eugene Fuselier, Catherine Bares (Spouse Frank Bares III), Tricia Kovesdi, and the late Cynthia Lee Harrison; the grandmother of Frank Bares IV, Victor Bares (Spouse Alyssa DeCastro), Kaylyn Poleto, and the late Amber Poleto; and Great grandmother of Anthony Bares, Kurtis Bares, Victor Bares Jr, Valorie Bares, Virgil Bares, and Landon Poleto. She was born to the late Rose and Herbert Brown. She is also survived by one sibling, Herbert Brown Jr (Spouse Nancy Brown), nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A proud resident of River Ridge for over 50 years, she graduated from EJ High School in 1960. She built her professional career at John Quincy Adams, retiring from the school as an Office Administrative Assistant and a Teacher’s Assistant.
Constance was loving and compassionate, always carrying a quiet burden of worry for her family. Throughout her life, she enjoyed camping, collecting Japanese-style memorabilia, flowers, exploring flea markets, shopping, and expressing her creativity through drawing/coloring. Her true passion was spending time with her family, attending all the grandkids' baseball games, and cheerleading competitions. Constance was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the outstanding care provided by Laura King (beloved Sister-in-law) and the Guardian Angel Hospice.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Wake on Friday, February 13, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and visitation on the morning of the funeral, Saturday, February 14, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
The Mass will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00 am in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana, 70072.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, 3540 US‑90, Avondale, Louisiana, 70094.
