Conrad Payne Garner

Conrad Payne Garner “Mr. Garner” passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at East Jefferson Memorial Hospital at the age of 71.
Son of Albertha (Lyris) Payne and Stepson of Gabriel Julien, (Pa) was born in Forest Reserve, Fyzabad Trinidad and Tobago, on February 19th 1945. Conrad is survived by his daughters Marva Oxley, Michelle Garner, MD & Brenda Guidroz; his sisters Margaret Gloria Payne-Innis , Lenora Prescott and his brothers Lenox Boris and Fitzroy Julien; nephews and nieces, 5 granddaughters & 2 grandsons. He is preceded in death by his wife Lenore Margaret Garner, his sister Doreen Yearwood, parents Albertha Payne and Gabriel Julien.
Conrad was a graduate of Fyzabad High School and joined the Police Force in Trinidad & Tobago. He later immigrated to the United States in the late 60s where he earned his credentials in Real E state, as one of the top Realtor for Donald Julien & Associates. Conrad was known as the “Joker” … a keen card player and a Champion in All-Fours. Conrad was always a happy, friendly and a very caring person. To know him was to love him..
Conrad was a mind game genius, he loved making people laugh, he always had a joke to tell, he was a peace keeper, never liked conflict and always had a calm disposition.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 11 AM.
