Clovis Claude Dugas, Jr. (Snapper, Red, Duke) of Gretna at 85 years old, passed away on February 1, 2026. He survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Edna Prejeant Dugas, their sons Chris (Lacey) and Ken, three grandsons, Kyle (Rebecca), Cole and Cody Dugas. Brother, Gerald G. Dugas (Willee) and sisters, Sylvia D. Breaux (Stephen) and Gaynel D. Kliebert (Lester), and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Clovis C. Dugas, Sr and Olga Hepting Dugas; his brothers Rodney M. Dugas and Alvin H. Dugas.
Clovis Graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1959. He served the Country in the Air Force Reserve from 1963 to 1969. He retired from J. Ray McDermott after 24 years and Vetco Gray after 20 Years of Service.
Fishing was his passion, but he loved to bowl, play golf, Tulane Sports, and spending time with his family boiling seafood.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Cemetery South, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until mass time.
