Clifford "Mike" James Lohman, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clifford “Mike” James Lohman, Jr., age 78, who departed this life surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Beloved husband of 59 years to Rita Lauman Lohman. Loving father of Michael Lohman (Beth), Daniel Lohman Sr. (Jen), Gary Lohman Sr., and Lori Tompson. Devoted grandfather to Emily, Elena, Daniel Jr., Jacob, Joshua, Madison, Gary Jr., Gavin and Caroline Lohman, Brayden and Avery Tompson, and a great granddaughter due in December. Son of the late Clifford and Mamie Cuny Lohman. Brother of Carolyn Massey. Brother- in-law to Mina Lauman (late Clinton), Irene Lacombe (late Forest), and Carol Lauman Phillips.

A native of Gretna, he served in the United States Army and later joined the New Orleans Fire Department, where he retired as a Captain after 34 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and dancing. He was a member of the Back to Fifties Dance Club and the Good Times Jamaica Dance Club.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Traditions Health Hospice staff, especially Aricia and Karen, for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA 70058 on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. with service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association in his memory.
