Clayton Paul Taravella, Jr. on Monday, June 29, 2026, a life-long resident of Marrero, LA, passed away peacefully at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of the late Paula H. Taravella. Son of the late Erraline L. and Clayton P. Taravella, Sr. Devoted father of Derek P. Taravella and Brandon M. Taravella (Shana). Loving grandfather of Justin P. Taravella, Ashley R. Taravella, Blake M. Taravella, Brock M. Taravella, and Bryce M. Taravella. Brother of Donna Rae T. Gaspard (Glenn).

Clayton was a 1970 graduate of Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero, LA and a 1976 graduate of Loyola University of New Orleans.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 1:45 p.m. at Don Bosco Chapel on the campus of Archbishop Shaw High School, 1000 Salesian Ln, Marrero, LA (enter via Barataria Blvd. entrance) followed by a Catholic Liturgy of the Word at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow services in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations to Archbishop Shaw High School (www.archbishopshaw.org), the National Park Foundation (www.nationalparks.org), or the American Kidney Fund (www.kidneyfund.org) preferred.
