Chanadda Saengsri Dawn

Chanadda Dawn passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the age of 74.

Chanadda was a kind, sweet, and loving soul who had a heart big enough for everyone she met. She had a beautiful sense of humor, loved to laugh and joke around, and brought warmth and joy wherever she went. Always thinking of others before herself, Chanadda's generosity and compassion defined the way she lived and the way she loved.

She deeply cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness. Chanadda also expressed her love through cooking-she was especially known for her treasured fried rice dish that will forever be remembered and missed by those lucky enough to share her table.

Chanadda is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Dawn; her loving daughters, Juanita Dawn and Susana Kent; and her cherished grandchildren, Natalie, Alexander, Evelyn, Robert, and Ruby. She is also lovingly remembered as a great-aunt to Holden, and is survived by her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear lifelong friends.

Chanadda was well respected and deeply loved. Though she was truly one of a kind and irreplaceable, her gentle spirit, laughter, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts and memories of all who were blessed to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services and visitation at MOTHE Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana 70058, on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Buddhist ceremonies will be held on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. We will then process to St. John's Cemetery and Crematorium, 4841 Canal Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70119, for a viewed cremation ceremony.
