Celestine Olivia Creppel

Celestine Olivia Creppel, age 67 years, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA surrounded by her family. She was a native of Lafitte, LA and a resident of Hessmer, LA for the past 5 years. She was a beloved sister, aunt, godmother, granny and never having biological children, but a mother to so many. Celestine was the most unselfish woman, always caring, giving, and thinking of others, never putting herself first. She touched each and everyone of our lives in one way or another. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clemence and Vincent Creppel , also known as “Mr. & Mrs. Skinny” and brothers, Milton “Coon” Creppel, August “Amedele” Creppel, Issac Creppel and Lil’ Abbie Creppel. She is survived by her lifelong companion, Benedict “Benny” Silcio and brothers, Clarence Creppel of Lafitte, LA, Leonce Creppel, Sr. of Avondale, LA and Daniel Creppel of Hessmer, LA and sister, Augustine Creppel Ranches Kennedy. She was a mother to August “Cocoa” Creppel ; a granny to Seth Guillot, Sierra, Saige, Brooke and Codi Creppel and godmother to the late Felix “Boop” Treme’ and the late Denise “Neecie” Creppel and Vince Creppel. Also survived by 18 nieces and nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Sunday, March 13, 2011 for 6PM and to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 11AM.
