Carolyn Spano Richard entered into eternal rest on August 15, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Emmett Richard, Jr. Mother of Michael Richard, Kirk Richard (Kathy Powell), Scott Richard (Kathy Landry), and Dru Richard Sr. (the late daughter-in-law Lori Hinyup). Grandmother of Jason, Brook, Eric, Kyle (Jennifer), Patrick (Ruthanne), Bryan (Caitlin), Chad, Courtney (Paul Jr.), Dru Jr. (Amanda), and Ian. Great-grandmother of Blake, Chloe, Layla, Henry, Jack, Louella, Jude, Peter, Gwendolyn, Gavin, Knox, Paul III, Rex, one expected great-grandchild, and the late great grandson Beaux. Daughter of the late Anthony J. Spano, Sr. and Rita Dorn Spano. Sister of Anthony J. Spano, Jr. Also survived by sister-in-law Mercedes Richard and brother-in-law Joseph Richard Sr.  Numerous nieces, nephews and longtime friends Patsy Schneider and Becky Fulton. Age 87 years, a native of New Orleans, and resident of Gretna, LA., a lifelong Who Dat fan and second-line QUEEN. Former employee of Sun Finance, Chevron U.S.A. Inc., and Tire Shack Inc.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 10:30 AM.
