Carolyn Day Gaspar passed away on Monday February 13, 2017 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of the late Anthony Gaspar. Mother of Anthony "Tony" Gaspar (Pamela), Todd Michael Gaspar, Sr. (Sandra), and Troy Salvador Gaspar. Daughter of the late Ethel Bowers Day and Charles David Day, Jr. Sister of Lynda Champagne Dufrene (Richard), and the late Lois Costa, and Mazie Walker. Grandmother of Todd Michael Gaspar, Jr., Jonathan Gaspar (Courteney), Blake Gaspar, Timothy Gaspar (Deanna), Anthony Bird, Tiffany Galle (Daniel), and Trevor Gaspar. Great grandmother of Aiden Galle, Avery Galle, Austin Gaspar, and Brayden Gaspar. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong member of God's House and a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. She was co-owner of Pen Vent Sheet Metal. Relatives and Friends of the family, also members of God's House are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 1pm. Interment, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Westwego, LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 10am until 1pm. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to her caregivers, Todd and Sandra Gaspar, Hattie Ellis, Melanie Broussard, Barbara Farve, Heart of Hospice and Omni Home Care for their loving care.
