Carolyn Vedros Brown

Carolyn Vedros Brown passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at her home.  She was 87 years old.  A lifelong resident of Algiers, Carolyn was the beloved wife of “Coach” John D. Brown and the mother of Ann Brown Verret (Barry), John McCormack Brown (Moe), Bernie Brown Jorden (David), Pat Brown (Zelda), Chris Brown (Angie), Kate Brown, and Henry Brown (Shannan). Daughter of the late Marguerite and Whitney Vedros, Carolyn had 26 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Algiers, La on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 9 am until Funeral Mass time at 11 am. Internment McDonoghville Cemetery, Gretna, La.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial donation made to the charity of your choice.
