Carolyn Rita Abadie

Carolyn Rita Abadie passed away peacefully on November 4, 2022 at the age of 77. Beloved sister of Simone Abadie Wolf (the late Edward J. Wolf Jr.). Aunt of Paul Wolf (Suzanne), Mark Wolf (Sandy), Kathleen Keowen (Dennis), Lara Morris (Jimmy), Erika Briggs (Travis), and the late Kevin Wolf (Julia). Great-aunt of Ian Wolf, Suzi Guy (Matt), Alex Wolf (Danielle), Jonathon Cook (Angie), Blake Wolf (Ashley), Kody Keowen (Monica), Anna Ladreyt (Sean), Rachel Bourgeois (Sam), Daniel Morris, Beau Briggs (Shannon), Nicholas Briggs, and Bennett Briggs. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester Clement Abadie and Joyce Ducrest Abadie and also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Carolyn was born in Abbeville, LA, was a longtime resident of Algiers, LA, and most recently of the Wynhoven Apartments. She was a proud member of the D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution), Vieux Carre’ Chapter, the Civics Club, and The Joy Club. She will be sadly missed.

The visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 9am to 11am. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
