Carol P. Taylor

November 9, 1954 — May 20, 2025

Marrero

It is with deep love and sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, and MiMi, Carol Pfiffner Taylor, who departed this life on May 20, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on November 9, 1954, in Independence, LA, Carol was full of thoughtfulness and unwavering love. She devoted her life to friends and their families, her neighbors, and her family, nurturing a home filled with good food, thoughtful homemade crafts and gifts, and steadfast love. Carol was the cherished wife of Kent Taylor, with whom she shared 49 beautiful years of marriage. Their love story was one of partnership and boundless affection, their easy smiles a true inspiration to everyone who knew them. She was the devoted mother of two children, Lois Truelove and Chris Taylor, who will forever carry her lessons, thoughtfulness, and delicious recipes forward with them. As a MiMi to six adoring grandkids, MiMi found immeasurable happiness in their presence, working on projects for months just to see them smile. Carol tried to make every person’s life brighter with her presence. Whether through her nurturing meals, thoughtful projects, or words of kindness, she left a lasting imprint on every life she touched. Her parents, Steve and Lois Pfiffner preceded her in death, and she leaves behind a family who will miss her dearly: her loving husband Kent Taylor; children Lois Truelove and Chris Taylor; grandkids Morgan Moore, Graham Helton, Mason Truelove, Collin Taylor, Toby Taylor, and Libby Taylor; her brothers Steve and Don Pfiffner; and a host of family and friends who were privileged to know and love her. We will celebrate her life on Monday, May 26th at 12PM at Mothe Funeral Home in Harvey, with a service to follow at 1:30pm. Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Jude. Family and friends may view and sign the online guest book at www.mothefunerals.com.

“Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, she is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”
