Bryan Stewart, was welcomed into our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ’s open arms on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the age of 26. Bryan is survived by his parents Oscar and Susie Stewart; his sisters, Jennifer Stephens (Donald) and Angela Stewart; his nephews, Daniel and Dillon Stephens, whom he loved dearly; his fiancé Larrielle Smith; and extended family. Bryan was born in Twentynine Palms, CA on April 16, 1991. As the son of an active duty Marine, he traveled internationally. He attended Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan, and graduated with honors from Belle Chasse High School in Belle Chasse, LA in 2009. He graduated from LSU in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts - Liberal Arts; he majored in Film and Media Arts and minored in Communication Studies. Bryan Stewart was a passionately creative film maker and video editor. Bryan's work for Jesse Duplantis Ministries and Lonely Eskimo Productions were two avenues for him to do what he loved. Bryan also volunteered as a consultant to the Believer's Life Family Church Media Department. While attending LSU, Bryan worked as the Managing Editor of External Media at The Daily Reveille. Bryan shared a vision of using media to impact people's lives for all organizations he was involved with. Bryan recently began exploring urban decay photography and photojournalism. His work includes urban photography of New Orleans, Chicago, and Gary, IN. As an expression of his love for New Orleans, Bryan explored the social and political dynamics of the city through photographing the city's history, culture, and heritage. In 2017, he published photos of New Orleans with the nationally-read sports blog, SB Nation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday, May 27, 2017 beginning at 10:00 AM followed by Memorial Services at 12:00 Noon at Believer's Life Family Church, 501 Lapalco Blvd, Gretna, LA 70056.
