Brian Joseph Barbier

Brian Joseph Barbier passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Brian battled a lung infection very courageously for the last 5 years, but it finally beat him. Brian is survived by his sister, Gertrude Juneau; brothers, Emile Barbier and Wayne Barbier as well as many nieces and nephews. Brian was the son of the late Emile Paul Barbier Sr. and Gladys Arabie Barbier. Brian worked at Laborie’s for well over 20 years and was known as the “Skinny Guy” or “Big B”. Laborie’s was his extended family and he loved everyone who worked there, especially Mel and Harry who he called TRUE friends. Brian loved to wear cowboy boots, western hats and listen to country music. He will be sadly missed by all.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 3 PM to 5 PM. A Memorial Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel.
