Brenda W. Stewart of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Ochsner Hospital. She was 75 years old. She was born on April 6, 1945. She attended Booker T. Washington High School and Moler Beauty College. Throughout her life she worked as a cosmetologist and nurse’s aid at Ochsner Hospital. She also enjoyed building, design, and home renovation projects. She loved being the center of love and support for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Weber, her husband, Willie Stewart, her brother, Robert Ruffin, her son, Elliott Stewart, and her grandsons, Dominique Weber, Deshawn Stewart, and Kiran Harris. Ms. Stewart is survived by her mother, Thelma Mitchell, her sister Mercedes Williams, her children, Zina Stewart, Giselle Stewart, Kenneth Stewart and his wife Olivia Stewart, Willie Stewart, Rosalind Stewart, and Nicole Weber. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Zinuell Gales, Tyrone Stewart, Kentrell Harrell, Chris Johnson, Dewanna Stewart-Daniels and her husband Harry Daniels III, Jacara French-Fields and her husband Nicholas Fields, Sharda Stewart, Mykell Weber, Reheim Emilien, Jr., Kenneth “Bud’ Jones, Arienne Jones, Kendell Stewart, Brittany Rouege, Sierra and Ebony McDowell.
A Funeral service in the Chapel will be held at Mothe Funeral Homes, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA at 11:00 am on Friday, January 22, 2021.
