Brenda Trupiano Ordoyne, 84, passed peacefully on February 10, 2026, and is now joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, William Karl Ordoyne, Sr. She was born on November 11, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Joseph Thomas Trupiano and Elodie Catherine Laborde Trupiano.
Brenda married the love of her life, affectionately known as Billy, on May 28, 1960. Together, they raised William Karl Ordoyne, Jr., Keri Ann Ordoyne Walker, and Kirk Anthony Ordoyne. Their life was grounded in Catholic faith, devotion to the Blessed Mother, and love for their family.
Brenda devoted her life to her family. Those who knew her best remember her saying all she ever wanted was to be a wife and mom. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by their infant son, Keith John Ordoyne, whom she now joins in the light of Christ.
Left to cherish her memory are William Karl Ordoyne, Jr. and wife Sonja; Keri Ann Ordoyne Walker and husband Craig; and Kirk Anthony Ordoyne and wife Stacie; her grandchildren Caitlin (Kyle Aucoin), Kale, Liam, Aidan, and Audrey Ordoyne; Laurel Walker; Gavin, Connor, and Logan Ordoyne; and her great-grandchildren Everett, Cecilia, and Theodore.
Brenda was especially close to her sister, JoAnn LeJeune, and her husband, Berwick, both of whom preceded her in death. She also cherished her family bond with Robert Pourciau, who was raised alongside her husband, and with Lynne Pourciau, her friend and constant companion. Brenda loved her nieces, nephews, and godchildren who held a very special place in her heart. She also cherished her cousins and lifelong friends.
Brenda’s spirit — and the many times she made us shake our heads and laugh — will forever live in our hearts. May she enjoy Heaven in all its glory.
In lieu of flowers, the greatest gift you gave Mom was your love during her life. The family kindly asks that prayers or Masses be offered for the repose of Brenda's soul, as this was a devotion she faithfully practiced for others throughout her life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 610 Sixth Street, Gretna, Louisiana 70053. Entombment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Terrytown, Louisiana 70056.
