Bonnie Dean Miller Schlotterer entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2022. Beloved wife of Gary Schlotterer, Sr. for 64 years. Mother of Kris Schlotterer DiMarco (Gerard), Dell Schlotterer Springer (Lawrence), Gary Joseph Schlotterer, Jr., Mary Gail Schlotterer Buchta (Kenny), and Dean Charles Schlotterer (Dana). Grandmother of Paul DiMarco (Samantha), Daniel DiMarco, Peter DiMarco, Elise Springer Brown (Seth), Matthew Springer (Caitlin), Jeffrey Springer (Brittany), Gary Joseph Schlotterer III (Emma), William Schlotterer, Patrick Buchta (Amy), Sean Buchta (Kayla), Jane Schlotterer, and Emma Schlotterer. Great-grandmother of Emily DiMarco, Jackson Springer, Emmy Springer, Camille Springer, Luke Brown, Hailey Buchta, Jude Buchta, Audrey Buchta, and Baby Buchta expected September 2022. Daughter of the late Fleet Nelson Miller, Sr. and Blanche Sybil Jones Miller. Sister of Roma Nell Miller Theriot (late Raymond), Steven Rodney Miller (Wendy), and the late Jerry Dell Miller O’Connor (late Jim), and Fleet Nelson Miller, Jr. (late Gail). Also dearly loved by Teresa Relle Schlotterer. The family would like to thank her caregivers Elizabeth Trento and Glenda Rhodes for their loving care.
Age 85 years, a native of Osyka, MS and longtime resident of Terrytown, LA. Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and a dear friend to many. She was a faithful parishioner and Lector at Christ the King Catholic Church, and a member of Christ the King Holy Name Society. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Visitation at Christ the King Catholic Church, Terrytown, LA on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 9 AM until Funeral Mass time at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, masses preferred. Mothe Funeral Homes handled arrangements.
