Billy Gene Davis

Billy Gene Davis passed away peacefully on March 14, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of 66 years to Dorothy Jenkins Davis. Father of Deborah Craig (Stuart), Louise Fabiano (Robert), Darryl Davis (Robin) and the late Billy Dwayne Davis. Grandfather of Shawn, Jacey, Kara, Seth, Corey, Antonio, Samantha and Elise. Great-grandfather of Kyle, Cole, Ethan, Izaak, Josie, Breena, Rendon, Hudson and Sutton. Brother of the late L.B. “Sonny” Davis, Lucille Buley, Bernice Davis and Wallace Davis. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Billy was a longtime resident of Venice, LA and most recently lived in Jena, LA. He is best known by his keen sense of humor and long-running jokes. Billy was a best friend to everyone and he never met a stranger. He loved being with family and friends but treasured the time spent with his beloved Dorothy. He will be sadly missed but his life will be celebrated.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 11 AM. Interment Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Belle Chasse.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 PM to 5 PM, resuming on Monday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
