Bettie P. LeBlanc passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at the Age of 87. She was the beloved wife of Raymond LeBlanc aka Capt. Peanut for 63 years. Mother of Tina Bower (the late Scott), Brenda Stanifer (the late Jim) and the late Susan O’Donnell. Grandmother of Jason Pitre, Lindsay Hohle, Lauren Bower, Jessica Holloway and Robert O’Donnell. Great Grandmother of Carlie Rae and Gabriel Pitre, Kate, Caroline and Camille Hohle and Raymond O’Donnell. Daughter of the late Celestine and Numa Plaisance. Sister to June Darcy Stoddard, and the late Mabel Macafore, Earl Plaisance, Dorinne Brelet, NJ Plaisance, Buddy Breaux, Shirley Weckerling, Joyce Beebe, Beulah Kinkaid, Gail Zeevi and her sister of the heart Joy Usey (Raymond). She was active in baseball, volleyball and Bowling. She was the secretary of her bowling league Faithful, at Colonial Bowling Alley for countless years. She was a member of the Oakdale Golden Age Club. She was crowned queen at the Golden Age Mardi Gras Ball in 2023. She and her husband owned and operated Captain Peanut’s Happy Jack Marina and Capt. Peanuts Oyster Company for years. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, beginning at 9AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana.
