Bernard Earl Propps, Jr. passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026 at the age of 79. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Earl Propps, Sr. and Mae Lirette Propps and his sister, Bernadine “Bunny”.
Survivors include his sons, Bernard Propps, III and Timothy Propps (Katie); grandchildren, Jacie, Emily, Carly, Korie, Michael, Gavin, Dillon, and Mason; brothers, Leonard and Brian and sister, Bonnie Ann, along with other loving relatives and friends.
Bernard served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam war. He spent much of his career in law enforcement and later retired as a truck driver.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, June 15, 2026 from 10 AM to 1 PM. Services will follow and interment will take place at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue in Gretna.
