Beatrice Brouillette Paradelas, a cherished matriarch and beloved member of her community, passed away on May 11, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on February 5, 1930, Beatrice dedicated 35 years of her life to the Algiers Medical Center, where she made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the many lives she touched through her work.
Beatrice was a devoted family woman who found immense joy in hosting family gatherings and vacations in Texas, creating countless memories with her loved ones. Her culinary skills were renowned, as she loved cooking for family and friends, bringing them together around the dining table with her delicious meals. Beatrice was also an active member of her community; she enjoyed participating in her ladies bowling team, traveling to new destinations, attending concerts, and being a proud member of the Krewe of Cleopatra in New Orleans.
She is survived by her adoring children, Pamela A. Aucoin (Shane), Bruce A. Paradelas (Sue), and David A. Paradelas (Debby). Beatrice was a proud grandmother to Adam, Bruce II, and Douglas, and will be lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren Krista, Brenn, and Lance, as well as her great-great-granddaughter Ava Grace. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry her spirit forward.
Beatrice now joins her late husband of 56 years, Sylvester A. Paradelas, along with her late mother, Francis Jane Brouillette Lafitte, and her late father, Newman Brouillette. She is also reunited with her late sister, Patricia Houidobre Crimen, in eternal peace.
Her family and friends will hold a visitation in her honor on May 19, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Harvey - Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC, located at 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA 70058. This will be followed by a funeral service starting at 11:00 AM. She will then be laid to rest at Lakelawn Mausoleum, with burial taking place at 12:30 PM at 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.
Beatrice Brouillette Paradelas will be remembered for her kindness, her lively spirit, and her unwavering love for her family, leaving a legacy that will endure through the hearts of all who knew her.
