Beatrice Strickland Long

Beatrice Strickland Long was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 21, 2017 at the age of 98 years. Beloved wife of the late Philip L. Long. Loving mother of Janice Baumy (Gene), Marilyn Horn (Jim) and Kenneth Long (Ronna). Grandmother of Dana Schoultz (Mike), David Baumy (Renee), Greg Horn (Michelle) and Chris Horn. Great-grandmother of Mason and Natalya. Sister of the late Sara Simpson and Ada Merle Colley. Daughter of the late David C. Strickland and Ada Nesom Strickland. Also survived by other loving family members and friends.
For over 50 years, Beatrice worked with her beloved Philip, managing rental property. She was a devout Christian and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Slidell.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 12 Noon to 1:30 PM. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
