Be Thi Le was born on December 2, 1944, in Vietnam. At the age of 34, she courageously fled her homeland in search of a better life for her family, embracing the hope and promise of opportunity. She later made Louisiana her home, spending most of her adult life on the Westbank of New Orleans, where she built a life rooted in family, perseverance, and love.
Be Thi Le will be remembered for her warm presence that could light up a room, her remarkable strength, her sense of humor, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her resilience and sacrifices shaped generations, and her legacy lives on through her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Hong Van Tran; her children, Trang Vo, Tai Tan Vo, My Linh Thi Tu, Trang Tran, Nguyet Tran, Dang Thu Le Tu and Thomas Tran. She was a proud grandmother to 18 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Hien Cong Tu, and her grandson, Tyler Toan Tu.
Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Homes, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Baptist funeral service will follow on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Mothe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Terrytown, LA 70056.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support extended to them during this difficult time.
