Barry Douglas Perque

July 6, 1950 — February 16, 2026

Barry departed this earth on Monday, February 16th. He was born in his home on Allo Street in Marrero, La to parents Edven "Foots" and Tessie Perque. He was the middle brother to the late Ken Perque (Gay), and Steve Perque (Karen). Barry grew up in Marrero until he met his beloved wife for life Linda Cambre Perque. They lived in Westwego until her death in 2024. They had two sons Jamey (Christy, son Wes), Chad (Beth, son Gavin, his wife Hayden, and daughter Charlotte, and son Brody). Barry had three grandsons, and one great granddaughter.

Barry worked and retired from The Union Carbide Corporation with a great group of coworkers but most importantly friends. He was a devout member of Bible Tabernacle Church where he faithfully served as usher.

Barry loved working on and restoring cars. He had many during his lifetime. He and Linda also loved going on trips with their best friends the Late Hubert and Vicki Gautreaux.

Barry was preceded in death by both of his parents Edven, and Tessie, his older brother Ken, and his wife Linda. Barry will continually be loved by his many family, and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Peace of Home Care Facility who took great care of him for the last several months. Passages Hospice Care who also helped immensely with his care. We would like to thank Doctor Oliver Mollere who was Barry's PCP and was always so professional, and caring of his needs. Thank you all.
