Barbara "Bobbie" Hotard Cox

Barbara "Bobbie" Hotard Cox passed away December 23, 2016. She was 75 years old. She is survived by her beloved children Wayne (Debra), Wendy Cox Veazey, Christopher (Marianne), Ryan (Michelle), her grandchildren DJ and Veronica Veazey, Anderson and Fifi Cox, her great grandson Benjamin West and her dear friend and caregiver Theia (‘Lootie’) Creppel. Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Cox, her parents Calvin and Dorothy Hotard, her brother Calvin J. Hotard, Jr. and her granddaughter Madeline Rose Cox.
Bobbie was an active school volunteer, worked for the New Orleans school board and was a talented designer and seamstress for the New Orleans ice skating and dance communities. Her contributions to the New Orleans ice skating community were invaluable and much sought. She will be remembered for her warm, generous personality, her talented and creative costume designs and her selfless nurturing attitude. She was a devoted mother, friend, daughter, sister, wife, grandmother, and volunteer. Her loving light was not extinguished but rather sent to the heavens to shine with the brightest stars.

Visitation will be at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 11AM until 1:3Opm. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:30PM. Interment will be privately held at a later date.
