Barbara Lauland De La Gardelle

Barbara de la Gardelle passed peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the age of 77. She was born Barbara Ann Lauland but most of her family knew her as Pauchie or Bobbie. She was raised in Marrero, LA where she met the love of her life Ronald James de la Gardelle, who proceeded her in death in 1999. They raised their four children in Marrero and moved to Hahnville later in life to be with the family that she loved so dearly.
Barbara Ann was survived by her four children, Ronald James de la Gardelle, Jr., wife Sharon, Donna Marie Yeager, husband Robert, Randy Joseph, wife Lis and Keith Charles, wife Amy. She was always surrounded by her 9 Grandchildren whom she loved more than anything. Stephen, Crissy, Brittany, Jourdan, Madison, Sydney, Kaleb, Aidan and Lauren and 9 great grandchildren. She was loved by many Aunts, Uncles Nieces and Nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Charles Ray Lauland and Marguerite Durapau as well as her in laws Justilia Plaisance and Irvin Friloux and her favorite Aunt Jenny.
She loved nothing more than getting together with her cousins and best friends at their Hen Parties. She was an amazing cook and it was her great joy to feed her family every opportunity she had. She absolutely adored her grandkids and having them run in and out of her house on a daily basis was just a part of her routine. She was a master at the game of 500 Rummy and no one had the courage to play against her. Christmas time was her favorite time of year and Christmas Day was her Superbowl. She will be missed by many but we take peace in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a funeral service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY, in Harvey at 11AM. Visitation will begin at 9AM. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna, LA.
