Barbara Irene Baillio

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Irene Baillio, who departed this life surrounded by love on July 21, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on September 25, 1942, Barbara lived a life marked by faith, devotion to her loved ones, and a joyful embrace of the simple pleasures that brought her happiness.

Barbara’s creativity and joy were evident in her love for sewing, bowling, dancing, games, and painting—pursuits that brought joy both to herself and to those fortunate enough to share in her company. Among the many gifts she shared, perhaps none was more special than the time she spent surrounded by those she loved most. A source of inspiration and guidance, Barbara was also very active in her church, where her faith found vibrant expression. Her compassionate spirit reached beyond the church walls as she ministered in several retirement homes.

Barbara was preceded in death by parents Naomi and Hugh Baillio, Sr., and brother Lloyd Baillio. She is survived by siblings Evelyn Gauci (Robert) and Hugh Baillio, Jr. (Letitia); son Aaron Baillio; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.Family, friends, and all those who wish to honor Barbara’s life are invited to attend a visitation on July 30, 2026, from 11:30 a.

m. to 1:30 p.m. at Marrero - Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC, located at 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072. Funeral services will follow at the same location beginning at 1:30 p.m. Afterward, interment will be held at Restlawn Park Cemetery, 3540 US-90, Avondale, LA 70094.
